I am implementing issues #1 and #3 at the same time for the purpose of allowing page tokens in this Atlassian Connect Haskell plugin. I have opened this pull request early so that I can get early review feedback and will consider this PR done when we can get a connect panel full of links that have tokens on them. That way we know that we have a secure way to generate tokens for our connect applications.
