The filtering should probably try to ignore the hits arising from the concept that the current result table is anchored to. For example, the concept might be 'ngly1'. When I hit the semantic filter for "genes" nothing changes as ngly1 is a gene. Would be better if it returned all the relations between ngly1 and other genes.

In checking my code and testing the currently deployed production version of the KB, I realized that I previously finished my solution coding for this issue and the solution seems to work, thus, this issue appears to be resolved already some indeterminate time ago.
