Standard design pattern / protocol / API for integration of external 3rd party knowledge resources into GBK

We wish to give end users access to the knowledge relations implied in diverse external resources such as Reactome/KEGG, GO, etc. through some standard design pattern / API.

Integration of such external datasources might be a challenge without consideration of opportunities for parallel computation and interactive user feedback/prioritization of knowledge map expansion including such resources.
