People going through comments are mostly interested in the main comments, they can expand the comment subtree on demand when necessary.

So, commends deeper than let's say 3 shall be collapsed by default.

Set depth to 2. It can be increased any time really. Could be a user-specific config later.

The not so cool thing is that all comments are always fetched anyway. It would be nicer not to fetch the hidden comments unless there are requested to be show...
