Overview of the projects undertaken in our Class-STHDF-2023-2024.

    • Short description of Project 1.

      • In our household, we try to simplify the routine processes we carry out every day. We do this by creating automation, thus creating our smart home. Every day we come up with another interesting idea of what else could be improved. On the SMVIT course, we had another opportunity to take our smart home a little further, so we came up with the idea of a bed occupancy meter using weight sensors.
      • (SK) V našej domácnosti sa snažíme zjednodušovať bežné procesy, ktoré vykonávame každý deň. Robíme to vytváraním automatizácii, čím si tvoríme našu inteligentnú domácnosť. Každý deň príde ďalšia zaujímavá myšlienka čo by sa ešte dalo vylepšiť. Na predmete SMVIT sa nám naskytla ďalšia príležitosť posunúť našu inteligentnú domácnosť o niečo ďalše a preto sme prišli na nápad s meračom obsadenosti postele za pomoci váhových senzorov.

    • Short description of Project 2.
      • This project is aimed at those households that have difficulties with consistent watering of plants. This solution can be used for a variety of reasons: when busy at work, when going on vacation, or for no reason at all! The development of a plant watering system combines technology and a commitment to nurturing plant life. By creating such a system, we're solving a common problem of common people.

    • Short description of Project 3.
      • Our daily problem is hard to concentrate on work and think creatively. That is because our brain needs oxygen. To resolve this problem we analyzed how to do it and we came with the idea to measure the air quality in order to have enough amount of oxygen in the room. We decided that the best solution to measure the air quality was CO2 sensor which would inform us whether the air in the room is suitable for our brain.

      • Have you ever tried learning a musical instrument? The overwhelming number of notes you need to get used to, the repetitive exercises that seem to suck the soul out of you? Have you been lucky to have a nice and understanding music teacher or did you get stuck with someone who does not understand your musical aspirations nor methods? Worry not, because our project will bring joy to kids and adults alike (although kids might enjoy it just a little bit more) To make learning music even more exciting, we've decided to introduce CarCharm - an engaging way to learn the notes by controlling a little car. Driving forward into the adventure is just one note away.

      • Cieľ projektu: Navrhnúť, vyvinúť automatickú vidličku na špagety, SmartFork, ktorá zjednoduší konzumáciu špaget a iných dlhých cestovín. Automatické navíjanie cestovín, čo zaisťuje pohodlné a elegantné jedlo bez nutnosti manuálneho otáčania vidličky.

    • Short description of Project 6.
      • Automatický rolovač žalúzií je zariadenie, ktoré dokáže čiastočne alebo úplne vyrolovať/zrolovať žalúzie bez potreby fyzickej aktivity človeka. Našim cieľom je zpríjemniť každodenné vstávanie automatickým odrolovaním žalúzií, čo umožní preniknutiu slnečného svetla do miestnosti a dodá človeku potrebnú energiu na štart do úspešného dňa.

    • Short description of Project 7.
      • Mnoho ľudí má záujem zvýšiť bezpečnosť svojho domova kamerovým systémom, ale existujúce kamerové systémy sú často krát príliš drahé a ponúkajú funkcionality, ktoré bežný používateľ nemá šancu využiť. Pre takýchto ľudí môže byť atraktívnou alternatívou si podobný, jednoduchší a hlavne lacnejší kamerový systém vytvoriť vlastnoručne. Hlavnou časťou nášho systému je mikropočítač Rapsberri Pi, vďaka čomu, ak potenciálny záujemca už časom nebude potrebovať naďalej systém využívať, môže mnohé časti ktoré pri jeho zostrojovaní zakúpil znovu použiť pri iných projektoch.

      • Have you ever faced the dilemma of leaving your pet home alone when you went to work or away for an extended period of time? Finding a reliable caregiver can be challenging, which is why we present our solution - the Automated Pet Feeder. Thanks to this system, we can leave the house with peace of mind, because thanks to this simple system, we will ensure that our furry friend will be fed regularly at certain intervals. Using common and simple items, such as an Arduino Uno board, a plastic bottle, and a servo motor, we offer simple pet care. Say goodbye to the worry of feeding your pets with a hassle-free solution that will keep your pet happy and fed even when you're not at home.

    • Short description of Project 9.
      • The project aims to provide solution for efficient solar energy gathering by maximizing efficient surface of a solar panel by moving a platform towards sunlight. Folder solar_tracker contains firmware for ESP32 development module (WiFi capable). Firmware controls two servo motors enabling two-axis movements of platform.

      • The purpose of the MouseMover project is to develop a user-friendly, programmable device that can simulate mouse movements, helping you stay active in work :)

      • A system for checking the correct posture during sedentary work with the help of a sensor and a buzzer, which prevents health problems related to the spine and musculoskeletal system.

      • While enjoying music, we usually focus on the sounds. But imagine adding a visual twist to the beats, especially during parties or family gatherings. This device doubles as a cool party decoration and a stylish room accessory. It brings a lively visual element to your music experience, making it a versatile addition to any setting.

    • Short description of Project 15.
      • Ako projekt sme si vybrali krabičku na lieky. Takáto krabička bude riadená arduinom. Bude mať senzor na kontrolu, či bola otvorená alebo nie. Ak nie, cez aplikáciu bude možné po sieti spustiť upozornenie. Toto upozornenie spočíva vo zvukovej signalizácii. Keď sa zapne upozornenie, krabička (bzučák ovládaný arduinom) začne vydávať zvuk.

    • The project centers around the creation of a specialized 3D-printed drumstick holder designed to enhance the accessibility and organization of drumsticks for drummers during performances and practice sessions. This holder is engineered to securely store drumsticks in an upright position, enabling musicians to swiftly grab or replace their sticks with minimal effort and interruption to their play.
