Overwriting destination image does not work

Ran the program without 8 pixels per byte option first. Saw artifacts at the top of the image as expected. Ran second time and accepted overwriting destination file. After complete examined destination and saw artifacts. Deleted the destination image by hand. Ran a third time and the destination created showed no artifacts as expected.

We need to ensure the file is overwritten if this option is selected.
