improve resolution of static image

Currently, the size/resolution of the static image is horrible. See attached image or http://biogps.org/dataset/4/chart/1450652_at.

My recollection is that Ian discovered a size limitation on the final size of images with the Google Chart API. If that's correct and that limitation still exists, we need to find a better solution.
