seem to be related to the case where the wikipedia article name has non-ascii characters, eg

• P110α: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q14887700
• 11β-hydroxysteroid dehydrogenase type 1: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q14327752
• IκBα: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q15325101

(in each case above, need to follow the protein link to get to the en interwiki link...)

I removed all interwiki links to templates and added the correct links to these 141 gene items.
