bootstrap.py errors out if a "future" version of Distribute (eg: distribute==dev) is installed

"python2.6 bootstrap.py -d" usually works fine, but today I noticed this error on Mac.

Some part in code is trying to create a directory that already exists.

Perhaps your account does not have write access to this directory? If the installation directory is a system-owned directory, you may need to sign in as the administrator or "root" account.
