    What server are you using to retrieve the egg? It seems that server is sending the Content-Length header twice, which may be incorrect and is at least very non-standard.

    I suggest this be marked as wontfix unless the reporter can demonstrate this is a scenario that should be supported.

    I'm not sure if its good to mark it as a wontfix. A big website hosting python packages (sourceforge.net) is not working and users of distribute are pretty confused about this error. Is there a contra point not supporting this ? The only problem I can see is, when the two headers differ, but for this case we can raise a error that the Download server sends inconsistent header data.
