Explicitly cover "single file" metadata in "quick start" guide

Issue #23 open

I'd like to be able to use the quick start guide as a resource to point people to when they have an existing module that I think could be usefully published on PyPI. It would help if the quick start explicitly noted the metadata changes needed to publish towelstuff.py instead of towelstuff/init.py.

Currently, it's a non-trivial exercise to find out what needs to change ('packages' clearly becomes wrong, but what needs to replace it?)

I’m not sure I understand what you mean with “metadata changes”; it looks like you’re talking about setup.py arguments. The distutils documentation covers what you’re asking: http://docs.python.org/dev/distutils/introduction#a-simple-example http://docs.python.org/dev/distutils/examples#pure-python-distribution-by-module

Currently, I’m not sure the HHGP is a good resource to recommend: it has not been updated to reflect the moving of effort from distribute to distutils2.
