Optionally, hide users in reports
Hi there,
the report view is already very helpful, but there is one thing missing: The users are always visible in the reports. In our case, we want to give the report to the customer, but hide users.
Would be great to have it as a feature!
Best, Stefan

reporter Hi Andriy,
thing is that we have several customers who want to have weekly reports, which we don't want to touch via Excel, because we're trying so save extra work here. We would need to have a list of issues, with extra columns like days or weeks as we have now, but not grouped per user. So maybe an extra checkbox "Group by user" would be great: if not checked, just list the issues with totals.
Thanks, Stefan

Hi Stefan,
I see. You can use Filter option, to force report show just issues. Report groups by user if Group, Project or Role is selected. But with Filter it will not group, even if Project or Role is selected. You may create an empty filter, e.g. "All Issues". One limitation is that if you select Group it will still show users.
Please let me know if it solves your needs.
Thank you.

reporter Hi Andriy,
I don't get how to solve it - I get a grouping by user even when I leave all fields on "None" and remove all Checkboxes, or when I create and apply a filter.
Thanks, Stefan

Hi Stefan,
Can you please provide screen shot of report configuration?
-
reporter Hi Andriy,
I gave it another try today and established to get the report as you suggested: Just applying a filter, and leave other fields on default delivers a list of issues, split by worklog. This is nice, while it does not solve my use case, which is basically, to have exactly this view as described, but for a group.
Do you see any possibility to add that as a feature?
Thanks,
Stefan

Account Deleted Hi,
We need the same report, for the same reason as Stefan: to be able to report to customer without showing individual users. For now we fixed this by downloading the source code and fix it ourselves. It would be very nice to see this as a feature in Project Pivot itself.

Hi Theo,
Looks like you need this for Project Pivot Report, but not for Time Sheet Report, right? I have distinct idea of how to implement it for Time Sheet Report. But this is primary feature of Project Pivot Report to show users, and I would not like to change it, sorry.
For Time Sheet Report I think of leveraging Group By: Worked User report configuration option. So to have report broken down by users, this option will need to be used. Otherwise, report will show issues all at once, without breaking them by users, if Group or Project or Role is selected. Disregarding Filter option.
Thank you.

Version 2.8.3 with the change, so Time Sheet Report will break by users only when Group By: Worked User option is used.

Version 2.8.3.4 is available with correction, so that Show Details option is used to break down Time Sheet Report by users instead of Group By: Worked User

Hi Stefan,
I'm not sure what would the report look like? Just totals? May be you can use Excel view for this instead, just delete User column?
Thank you.
