[TIME-297] Holidays Calendar
There is basic support for holidays within issue #257 "[TIME-257] Holiday configuration": Holidays Configuration, however it could be better if holidays were retrieved automatically from corporate calendar, e.g. Confluence Team Calendars ( http://www.atlassian.com/software/team-calendars/overview/wiki-calendar-jira-planning), or any other ical web service.

reporter Hi,
First of all, thank you for your comment! I've also thought about making holidays specific to locale or country. But you seem to think about specific user days off, like vacation or illness, or any other kind of leave. If this is the case, let's split into separate issue?
Or do you think localized holidays would suite you?
Thank you.

Specific user holiday like leave, sickness etc is the specific feature that would be good for me. If you think this is best split into a separate issue then by all means do so. Or I can do it if that is better for you.
Many thanks, Nath.

reporter Thanks you for clarification, and yes, please create it, it's better for tracking.

Version 2.6 with the support for Holidays Calendar is available for download from Atlassian Marketplace!
It is now possible to define variable or fixed holidays manually in Administration - Add Ons - Timesheet Holidays, or import .ics with state holidays also there.

In addition to automatically retrieving holidays a really nice feature for myself would be to allow not just global holidays but user specific holidays so that I can see on my group timesheet whether or not any of my team members have upcoming holiday at a glance. I've not used confluence but even if I had to manually enter the holidays somewhere at a user level it would be nice.
