Unable to pull reports in Time report gadget

Hi Andriy,

Created user group "UI/UX - Front End Dev Team and added the following users: 1. [e-mail] 2. [e-mail] 3. [e-mail] 4. [e-mail]

Users entered work log (i.e, no. of hours for task), is not shown for the users in the group.

For user basavaraj koti, there are 13 issues but unable to pull efforts. Email: [e-mail] PEROOT: basakoti

For user vennilavan ramapuli , there are 19 issues but unable to pull efforts. Email: [e-mail] PEROOT: vennrama

For user sathees natesan, there are 6 issues but unable to pull efforts. Email: sathnate PEROOT: [e-mail]

For user chetankumar , there are 23 issues but unable to pull efforts. Email: vchetku PEROOT: [e-mail]

Please let us know on what can be done to pull the report using the Timesheet reports and gadget for JIRA.

Hi Eunice,

Could you please clarify if you try Time Sheet report on JIRA Server with Group parameter or anything else?

It should be possible to specify individual users via coma, or rename group or also use Role instead.

Hi Andriy,

Tried to make the following changes as per your update but no go.

• Tried to Change the group to UI/UX – Front End Dev • Changed the role to Developers, users, administrators • Specified individual users via coma

Issue happens for these 4 users as effort spent is not displayed. I have attached the screenshot for it. Issue does not happen for other users as effort spent is displayed. I have attached the screenshot for it.

Hi Eunice,

Looks like you have configured Timesheet Auditors Groups or Timesheet Restricted Groups or Timesheet Auditors Roles in Administration - Add-ons - Timesheet Configuration. Thus you might not have permission to see hours for users in other groups. Could you please check?

And you might check jira.log also, it may have additional information.

Hi Andriy,

I do see that the group is not selected in the Timesheet Restricted Group. I do see that Roles are selected in the Timesheet Auditors Role but still we are facing this issue. I have attached the screenshot.

So the problem, I think, is that you don't have UI/UX - Front End Dev Team selected in Timesheet Restricted Groups.

But you have to be. This is how Restricted Groups works. It shows time of other users if you're in the same selected group.

If you want I can add me to that group but the issue would be I will not have any tickets (JIRA issues) which contains efforts to pull the JIRA report. Let me know if I can add myself to the group without any tickets/efforts !

Hi Eunice,

You have to add yourself to that group if you want to use Restricted Groups feature. It's not a problem you don't have any tickets/efforts. Your name will appear as empty row though. To avoid this you may try Exclude Groups option and select other your group.

You don't have your name in gadget, most likely because you are not in Developers role. However I assume problem is that you still don't get hours for the other users, right?

Could you please check, how does gadget title look like now. Does it have "Summary for group(s) UI/UX - Front End Dev Team ..."?

I've noticed you have two groups starting with "UI/UX - Front End Dev". So please make sure you've selected the same one in Restricted Groups in Timesheet Configuration, in Groups option of gadget configuration and yourself as a member.

I checked that my name was available in developer's role. I tried to generate the report but no go. I have attached the screenshot. I am sorry, Arjun who is from my team works in a different shift. I want to have a call where both can attend the call if it's feasible for you. He has to extending his shift to attend the call at 7.30 P.M IST. Please let us know if we can do this call at the mentioned time.
