work log is not appear for whole project in time sheet gadget

    Could you please check if there is Timesheet Auditors Roles configured in Administration - Add-ons - Timesheet Configuration?

    Could you please double check users who is reporting the problem have one of the roles selected?

    Also, I assume it used to work, but something has changed, so could you know what has changed recently? Like plugin updated or project roles changed.

    Yes i have checked user is added in Internal team member and there is no change in time sheet plugin or no updates in project. On clicking details no data appears - snap5.png

    Something must have changed during weekend, it would be nice to figure out what?

    Also looks like screenshots in this issue do not correspond to each other. Gadget shows data for Group: MRIC-INT, however report does not seem to have this parameter, or it is not shown. It also has different time period. So it's confusing. Could you please make sure you click Details link for the gadget shown in first screenshot?

    Also could you please clarify plugin version? I see 2.8, may be you can try updating plugin to latest 2.9.8.3?

    When I have logged this issue no time log is appearing for the users. But suddenly today time log for one user is appearing see screenshots - snap13.png

    It might be that user keys or names have changed, because of an update of JIRA. Please try updating plugin to latest 2.9.8.3.

    We will plan this upgrade soon. but till the timings we need an workaround for the project so that there work will not suffer.

    Sorry, I can't suggest workaround yet. I don't have clear diagnosis. There's no error, there are no known changes in the system, suddenly some data is shown, but it's not clear if it's new data, and whether all new data is shown. Is data shown in other cases, when someone else is viewing the report, or with different report parameters. These all needs more efforts from your side to better investigate the problem.

    okay I will re-investigate the issue check the logs from last weekend. Can you suggest what type of errors will come. It being easier to catch it.

    Sorry, I don't know what errors might have happened last weekend, I was expecting errors in jira.log at the moment you access the report.

    Hi Monika,

    Other customer has reported similar problem, but they have added that this issue seems to be since they renamed all the Jira usernames and consolidated an LDAP directory to Jira's internal. Their JIRA saved filters that referenced usernames directly broke in this change also. And I think that this broke reports on a group as well.

    Time Sheet report is using usernames to filter worklogs from JIRA DB. So if usernames were changed, apparently usernames were not updated for worklog entity. Thus report can't get any data for the group with new names.

    And since you can suddenly see data for Anand, I assume it is new worklog entries, that are added with new user name, thus they appear in report.

    If all this well explains the problem, then you need to make sure old worklog entries in DB are updated with new usernames.
