REST API & Servlet Support In Time Report

Issue #1128 resolved
Ragunaathan Pandurangan created an issue

Hi Team,

I am admin team of our JIRA instance and we have installed the trial pack of “Time Reports and Gadgets for JIRA Cloud” plugin to ensure the functionalities and other details. Kindly find my queries regarding this as below.

1.Currently we are using "Tempo Time sheet" plugin in our instance, that plugin supports servlet access. Based on this servlet access we are maintaining one internal service at our end. Whether "Time Reports and Gadgets for JIRA Cloud" plugin supports servlet access or else kindly let me know how can I achieve my below requirement.

Requirement : I need to get the entire work log details of all my instance users based on some time period. (i.e. One day / Few days)

  1. Can we able to save some kind of report like creating time sheet report with some users which are need to check on daily basis rather than checking the report every time by selecting those appropriate users and time period.

3.Can we able to view the time sheet report for a single user for a particular date by directly access the URL instead of creating a time sheet report. As we are using this type of dynamic url using Tempo plugin in our internal application to list a particular user work log details in time sheet.

4.Can we able to restrict the normal user in a team to view the work log details of other users in the same team/our instance users in this plugin time sheet?

  1. Is there any options to navigate to this plugin instead of going Project-> Reports options in Agile board menu -> Time Report.

Kindly let me know the details as earlier in time so that we have ensure everything our side and can able to propose this plugin for our instance to our management.

    Hi Rgunaathan,

    1. Sorry no, Time Reports is static add-on, with no backend, so far. Though, I'm working on next edition of it with back-end, which will have REST API.

    2. Yes, please see http://www.jiratimesheet.com/timereports/faq.html - Is there a way to persist the query parameters?

    3. Yes, you can bookmark url from the browser, it has all report parameters.

    4. Yes, please see Timesheet Auditors Groups in add-on configuration.

    5. Yes, you can add quick link with Application Navigator - it allows to set its links to be viewable just by the specified groups in a really straight-forward manner.

    Thank you.
