In timesheet gadget, Collapse Field Groups functioanlity is not working

Issue #1162 invalid
monika agarwal created an issue

The timesheet gadget/project pivot is behaving differently. In the edit screen when I am creating a new dashbaord or try to edit an existing one.
Does not seem to be working for confluence for the same gadget. (screen grabs attached) Also, when the edit screen do come up, I am unable to group the result. (Earlier we could collapse/expand based on a field) Going via the the reports route, it does not give results when I select a query and remove a project. (Project is an optional field and this used to work without it) Can you please take a look at this on priority ? Steps to Reproduce - Open a Dashboard -> Add a gadget -> Select Timesheet -> Edit screen does not show up correctly. Edit an existing timesheet gadget on dashboard -> Same issue as above. When it does show up, the Grouping feature is not working. The check box gets deselcted.

In the Reports section, create a timesheet report -> Edit the configurations -> Keep Project to None and add a filter. The query should return results but is showing no results until a project is specified.

    Hi Monika,

Looks like it's not related to Collapse Field Groups, is it? I.e. do gadgets work without it, in JIRA and Confluence?

Note, it works for me with Collapse Field Groups just fine.

    Thank you.

Hi Andriy, Thanks for your reply. It is working fine in earlier version 2.8.2.7 but when we upgrade to 3.0.8.3. This functionality is not working in current version. Earlier when we check on collapse field groups then the we have collapse button to collapse the data which is not in current version. (see the highlighted area in attached screen shot) screenshot-5.png

Let me know if you need any other information from my side. Thanks Monika

    Hi Monika,

I don't think there was collapse button to collapse the data anywhere before. Collapse Field Groups option just makes grouping by field without project, i.e. only by field. And it seems to work fine on your screenshot.

    Thank you.

    Hi Dhananjay,

By default when Group by Field is selected it groups by Project and selected field, so if Collapse Field Groups is selected, it just groups by selected field, instead of grouping by Project and selected field.

    Thank you.
