[TIME-284] Error in logs when adding Group Timesheet gadget "$endDate is not a valid reference."

I get a couple errors in my logs when someone does certain things with the Group Timesheet gadget. i was able to reproduce them by simply adding the gadget to a dashboard. Here is the first line of each error that i get. Let me know if you need more:

1. 2012-09-24 11:18:56,968 http-80-13 WARN username 678x568594x3 1frndj 172.xxx.xxx.xxx /rest/timesheet-gadget/1.0/timesheet.json velocity org.apache.velocity.runtime.exception.ReferenceException: reference : template = templates/timesheetportlet/timesheet-portlet.vm line 46,column 107 : $startDate is not a valid reference.
2. 2012-09-24 11:18:56,968 http-80-13 WARN username 678x568594x3 1frndj 172.xxx.xxx.xxx /rest/timesheet-gadget/1.0/timesheet.json velocity org.apache.velocity.runtime.exception.ReferenceException: reference : template = templates/timesheetportlet/timesheet-portlet.vm line 46,column 126 : $endDate is not a valid reference.

Hi Adam,

Those errors are from Timsheet gadget, not Group Timesheet, though it's still not clear for me how they can happen, if you're using 2.2.9 version.

Please clarify.
