Month view only calculate the time for whole week or else, it will be an empty week

Issue #333 resolved
Muhammad Fahd created an issue

Month view only calculate the time for whole week or else, it will be an empty week.

If the chosen date range start in the middle of a week(not Sunday) e.g. Tuesday, the whole column for first week will be shown as empty while there's data in Wednesday and so on.

P/S: Plugin version is 2.3.8. Can't find it in the list.

Could you please try if the issue persists with latest 2.3.13? I think it was fixed in 2.3.9 or so.

    Thank you.

I just tested with 2.3.13. Installed in JIRA OnDemand and the same behavior can still be seen. Month view still ignoring the whole week if the date is in the middle of that week.

Thank you for trying update. Could you please clarify what would be your expectations, if date range starts in the middle of a week. Do you think report should include only hours from the specified date, or report date range should be changed, left or right, depending what's closer?

    Thank you.

My expectation would be that date range specifiy the data set on which the report is based. Because I expect that switching from grouping per day to grouping per week will not affect the grand total.

Grouping by week might then lead to incomplete week at the begining and end of the date range . Eventually you can highlight this "edge inconsistencies" with asterix , bold or colors.

I'd be happy to provide any additional feedback if I can help. :)

We have been experiencing the same issue with the 'Month View'.

I don't know which version of bitbucket we have, I haven't found it specified anywhere in the admin, however we are on Atlassian onDemand and it is updated automatically to the latest version frequently.

I also notice that if the period entered ends mid-week then worklogs for the rest of the week are included in the totals/listed issues, as well as the issue of the first week being empty if it doesn't start on a Sunday.

I would expect this view of the report to show exactly the same tickets/worklogs as the standard daily report but be displayed with week sub-totals. Any overrun of data outside the selected period is not acceptable, and renders the report useless. We have recently started to use this for billing clients, and run it each month for the calendar month, it must show the right totals for the calendar month.

Thank you, I will. I take it you have also sorted out the problem of the last week as well as the first?

    regards Hilary
