Selecting pivot or timesheet reports hangs out forever

We have been using the plugin since 2 years, we were on JIRA4 at this time, upgraded to JIRA5 at beginning of year.

Last time I wanted to use either pivot or timesheet report, I end up with the 'configurereport' page trying to load for ever : nothing is displayed and the page is empty. This prevents us from using the plugin functionnality!

I don't see anything in the jira atalina log file; are there some performance issues on jira instances having a large number of issues (we have ~700 projets; total ~80k issues) ?

What can I check/do to have it working?

We're running v2.5.6 of the plugin, but was also the case with 2.3.12
