Upgraded Jira from 4.2 to 6.12 and received "Error Loading gadget from rest/gadgets..."

We just finished upgrading jira from 4.2 to 6.1.2 and we received the following error for the jira timesheet plug-in"Error loading gadget from rest/gadgets/1.0/g/jira-timesheet-plugin:timesheet-gadget/gadget.xml: org.apache.shindig.gadgets.GadgetException: Unable to retrieve gadget xml. HTTP error 504"
The thing is there isn't a directory called rest/gadgets/1.0/g/ on our server. Any help would be appreciated.
We've tried re-installing and disabling/enabling

We are using this plugin and after upgrading JIRA to 6.1.7 and plugin to 2.7.7 we are getting below warnings in logs and users are getting errors while accessing the time sheet dashboard.

Errors on User Dahboard-

Hi Saurabh,
You have to remove old Group Timesheet gadgets and add new Tiemsheet Gadget and configure it correspondingly, or migrate according to these instructions: https://bitbucket.org/azhdanov/jiratimesheet/wiki/Migration%20guide

Removing the old group Timesheet gadget via the Dashboard and then repopulating a new one fixed the problem for us. Thank you

Hi Sirio,
Have you updated plugin version too, at least to 2.3.x? Latest is 2.7.6? Because plugin for JIRA 4 is NOT compatible with JIRA 5 or 6.
Additionally there were significant changes, and you may need to migrate or just remove old gadgets and add new on dashboard. Please see also Migration Guide
