"Current User" entries not shown in timesheet when user field is left blank

The user field configuration in the timesheet gadget suggests that the results will show the currently logged in user. "Show entries created by user (optional, current user if empty):" But this isn't what I'm seeing. I left blank and see all logged time.

You might have some other setting like Project. What does gadget title say?
