Timesheet Subscription - enhancement for date range selection

Issue #566 resolved
Former user created an issue

This plugin is fantastic and is really helping the adoption of JIRA at my company. I would like to make an enhancement request for the date range selection when subscribing for a timesheet report. My company does bi-monthly paydays and we use JIRA and your timesheet plugin to true up our billed time against time logged in JIRA to clients. The problem we are running into is that the plugin only gives us a past weeks worth of time. To see two effective weeks (for example from the 1st to the 15th) we have to manually update timesheet subscriptions.

That said, we would like to have a way of setting up multiple subscriptions with one or more of the combinations below:

  • Cron Expression (preferred as it gives the most flexibility)
  • Extra options for begin and end times. Options would be beginning of month, mid month, end of month.

Thanks and have a great day!

    Hi Brian,

Thank you for kind feedback! Regarding your needs. May be I don't understand it correctly, but there in the Subscriptions page, you can click 'Schedule' link to change cron expression, as you would like. Also you can subscribe as many times as you would like, but only from Time Sheet Report.

    Is this sufficient?

    Thank you.

    Andriy,

You are absolutely right! I don't know how I missed that under the advanced schedule. That is perfect.

I will close this one out and continue to send along feedback. Thanks again!

    Andriy,

Ok, I think we are part way there. The subscriptions cron allow us to get the report delivered when we want (the 1st and the 16th of every month).

I do not see a way of changing the reporting time period start and end date to be more than a week at a time. If we wanted to see the results for the 1st thru the 15th we would have to go into the report and change the dates by hand (which we can do bi-monthly). It would be great if we could setup the report start and report end times with the extra options for the beginning of the month and mid month.

Right, there is no way to change subscription report parameters, you need to subscribe to a newly created report for two weeks, and anything else you would like.
