Project Pivot Report - does not work, if any Timesheet Restricted Group is set

Hi,

i want to restrict some groups, that they only allowed to view the work-logged time in their own group. If i select any restricted group, the "Project Pivot Report" does not work anymore. The current User is here a member of the group "Controlling".

Their ist also a problem with the Dashboard Gadget "Time Sheet". If in the field "Show entries created by user (optional, current user if empty):" is no entry, the time for all users of the selected groups is viewed. But i think, only the current user should be viewed.

Please help me to find a solution.

Hi Stefan,

1. Current user has to be a member of Fachickeit group aslo, since you've specified it in Timesheet Restricted Group. I guess in your scenario you don't need this setting. Unselect it with Ctrl + click.

2. In Timesheet gadget it may be that you have Group or Project selected. In a view it should say it clearly: Dislpaying summary for group or project.

Thanks for the fast response. I need to implement the following szenario:

Only the users in the Group "Controlling" are able to view work-logs for all users in the reports. And each user shoud be only able to view his own work-logged time by the Dashboard gadget.

Is it possible?

Yes, I think so. You don't need Timesheet Restricted Groups option. And try removing gadget from dashboard, and adding new one, do not change any options, it's default behaviour to show own timesheet.

It works. I always selected a project, that was the problem.

Great! If you need to limit to single project, create a filter for it, and use it in gadget.
