Gadgets: "Lock Time Frame" Calendar Picker Usability

The "Lock Time Frame" button on gadgets (eg Timesheet Gadget) displays a calendar picker that allows quick navigation to dates in the past or the future.

When the current gadget view has no data to display then the height of the gadget is minimal... causing the picker to not display properly (partially obscured) and thus very hard to use.
