Copy timesheet data to Excel

Issue #653 resolved

This is more of a question - is there a way to get the timesheet data into Excel in the same format it's displayed in the web page (with days of the week columns and a row for each project)?

We have separate time recording application I would like to copy/paste data into from the jiratimesheet report - an Excel spreadsheet in the format described above would be perfect for copying from.

Thanks, Duncan

    Hi Duncan,

It's not possible right away, but may be you can copy html view instead? Or paste it to excel to clear html markup, and then copy paste from excel to your system.

Note, excel view is also just an html table, but Excel treats it appropriately.

Also, consider automating it via REST endpoint.

    Thank you.

Thanks Andriy, I tried coping from the HTML, it nearly works ok but the time spent values include the units, e.g I need '2.5' instead of '2.5h'. Is there a way to get the HTML view to display time spent values without the units?

The timesheet system I'm copying data into is Excel-based, so removing the hour units is easy to do in Excel, ignore my previous question. The timesheet plugin works great, nice work!
