TimeReports - issues

Issue #772 resolved
Former user created an issue

This started as a review but the review site would only allow 4 stars, then errored, then directed me to a dead site.

This version is seriously undercooked. 1. The gadget display is huge because it doesn't summarise by time logger. 2. The report gives different results for different date ranges (ie Wk1-2 does not give the same hours as Wk1 + Wk2). 3. The download log works differently on Mac (just called 'download' - you have to add the .xls) to PC. 4. The date-times on the download log come out in a mixture of text dates and dates that can be recognised by Excel. Often the month and day are reversed. In some cases AM times are changed to PM and vice versa. 5. On occasion the download doubles up the number of records - seems to happen if you click on the refresh button during loading.

This is simply not of a suitable quality to remove the previous TimeSheet Report add-in from Andriy which was stable and predictable. And especially not on 22 Feb - the replacement is not ready.

"Atlassian Verified" - what are you thinking? This does not reflect well on your verification process and your planning.

    Hi Robin,

    1. Please use arrows icon in the date slider to hide details.

    2. There is issue#769 for this already

    3. Unfortunately this is browser specifics, this feature is implemented according to standard as described in wikipedia for example.

    4. Date format problems are tracked by Issue#759

    5. I've just disabled Refresh button while loading, please let me know if the problem appears again.

    Thank you.

Hi Andriy, thanks for your prompt reply. Regarding Item 3, here is the old Timesheet Reports download on Chrome for Mac - it is saving the download as "Timesheet Report (45).xls" [image: Inline images 1]

Here is the new TimeReport download on Chrome for Mac - it is saving the download as "download (1)". Is there not a way for the new version to save the same way as the old version? [image: Inline images 2] Cheers, Robin

    Hi Robin,

Sorry, I can't find a way to specify downloadable file name so that it worked. In other words, it is specified, but it is ignored by browsers yet.

    Thank you.

Hi Andriy That's ok, for Mac Chrome we will add the .xls extension. Cheers, Robin
