Time Report Pivot By User includes time log records after cut-off date.

Issue #783 resolved
Former user created an issue

Hi, now that the date formats are corrected, I have found that the new report is including records with dates after the end date. Here is the report screenshot. End Date is 14/Feb/2016. 2016-02-20 20_37_12-Time Reports - Sublime JIRA.png

Here is the end of the records, sorted by Started Date. There are two records that are after the end date. 2016-02-20 20_39_30-Microsoft Excel.png

[Note: this was also a problem in the old report but for a slightly different reason - in the old report the date-times were altered. However in the new report it looks like the selection criteria is not using the new date format. ] Old report: 2016-02-20 20_42_10-Microsoft Excel.png

    Hi Robin,

Is it possible that those records are included because of multiple time zones support?

You can double check it also by switching to Timesheet view, and include Group: jira-users, and Group by: Worked User, and see which day those records get into.

If so, then the problem is that in Excel the date is not converted to worked user timezone.

    Thank you.

Hi Andriy Yes, people are working in multiple time zones. The Timesheet view presents that time on the 14th rather than the 15th. Time reporting is done in one zone, so trying to assign week numbers is problematic, however the inclusion/exclusion behavior is the same as the old report, so we will live with it. Thanks for your feedback.

    Cheers, Robin

    Hi Robin,

I've fixed displaying time in Excel to show it as Worked User would see it also. Other than that I hope support for multiple time zones is working correctly.

    Thank you.

Thanks Andriy, the weekly report matched up fine. We'll do a parallel run check on the monthly report next week. Thanks for your work on this. Cheers, Robin
