[TIME-99] Jira Timesheet Report doesn't display when created

Issue #99 invalid
Andriy Zhdanov created an issue

Jira Timesheet Report doesn't display when created: We are using Jira Version 4.1 and i installed the time sheet plugin from this url https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/wiki/display/TIME/JIRA+Timesheet+Plugin version 2.0. i put the plugin in the right directory /plugins/installed-plugins/ and when i restart jira plugin is enabled but if i create a timesheet portlet from the very beginning it seems weird coz the timesheet gadget is displaying a different text as shown in the screenshot. can you please help me identify the issue? we are running our Jira in Debian OS. Thank you.

Hi, I'm unable to reproduce this one. In my case installation on JIRA 4.1 succeded.

I'm not sure what can be wrong here. Is there any chance you installed a broken JAR?

Can you remove it, clean JIRA log, install it again and see if there are any problems with the plugin initialization or resources?

    Cheers,
    Pawel

You log file shows some errors:

I'm not sure why there's portlet.xml (should be gadget.xml). Are you sure you don't have two versions installed? (the old one and the 2.0 version?)

    What's in jira-home/plugins/installed-plugins?

Did you re-download the jar from plugins.atlassian.com?

Hello, There's nothing inside that folder. this is showing on my dashboard: WARNING: You are running JIRA with Sun's JVM version '1.5.0_08-b03' which is known to be affected by a JVM bug that can cause JIRA to crash on start up. Please upgrade to JVM version 1.5.0 update 19 or later, JRA-18659.

Do you access your server through proxy? I noticed someone complaining about similar problem when using proxy. There's even a doc for this now http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/Gadgets+do+not+display+correctly+after+upgrade+to+JIRA+4.0

If not. Please contact Atlassian Support. Maybe it's a bug in JIRA or something. I'm unable to reproduce it and don't have a clue.

GadgetUrlBuilder tries to access invalid url as log says.

    Dear Pawel,

I found out what's causing of my issue with timesheet plugin. From ticket issue #98 "[TIME-98] Timesheet plugin v2.0 doesn't load up properly in JIRA v4.1.2#531" we have the same case we are using CAS as authentication. I did what he said on the ticket and i am able to see the timesheet now and even edit it. But my question is the title bar of timesheet gadget doesn't seems right i still see MSG_gadget.timesheet.title is this the right manner of it? or it is still a bug. do you have any idea how to fix it? i tried to remove and redownload the plugin but it still shows that way. you may see attachment 2.png as what i am referring on title bar. Thank you.

Only the titlebar? Or do other strings also are not translated?

I think you still didn't allowed all of the files that the gadget uses. Would be good to check access log when it's loading and see what URL-s it tries to access.
