Cannot assign a contributor + how to attach screen shots to issues?

1) I have a few issues already created via desktop and assign "John" - one of my developers. But the app only lets me select me or my team name. John is not in the list. How can I assign John?

2) there doesn't seem to be a way to add a screen shot or image to an issue. Is this possible?
