Issue #2 resolved

Runtime Error

Anonymous created an issue

This seems like the perfect solution for people to easily make games, thankyou for spending time creating it! My problem is a Runtime Error ("the application requested runtime to terminate it in an unusual way..."). I created a .bat file with the code:

@echo off
pyg.exe Tester.py

and running it produces the error above.

The Tester.py is a very simple pygame code found from the tutorial here:http://inventwithpython.com/chapter17.html.

The Tester.py file runs fine normally and all files are in the same directory. Have you any ideas? (Python 3.3 and Pygame 1.9.1)

    Ok, I have reverted everything back to python 2.7 but still get the same error. I would attach a screenshot if I could to help, my windows command box shows: C:\Users\etc. etc. >pyg.exe my_game.py

    The windows error shows: Runtime Error! Program C:\ etc. etc. >pyg.exe

    The .bat file, the .pyg file and the my_game.py are all in the same folder. I'd be very thankful for any help! Thanks!

    Ok, solution found. This is a ridiculous error, all that is required for it to work, is to change the font in my game code from a pygame.font.SysFont(None, 24) to pygame.font.SysFont("Arial",24) (or presumambly any other font) ! Thanks Radomir for making this!
