Does SFTP Gateway support HA with multiple instances?

Hello,

Just checking out the SFTPGW product and exploring our options. Does SFTPGW support a high-availability configuration, where we have 2 or more instances running?

If so, how are users distributed and kept in sync?

Hi Eugene,

At the moment, SFTP Gateway doesn't support HA. But we are working on a pro version that will support high availability. Syncing distributed users is one of the problems we're trying to solve. There are also issues like setting up an NLB, syncing host keys, syncing server settings, and managing all this without having to SSH into individual instances. If you're interested, we can let you know when it's available for beta testing.

Yeah I think our company would be very interested in this as well. We have a FTP server we want to return, but need an HA alternative.

We have a beta release of SFTP Gateway version 2.0, which introduces the following features:

• Admin web interface for user management
• High availability using a network load balancer and autoscaling group
• EFS mount for file synchronization and scalability
• User synchronization with LDAP
• SFTP audit logging to CloudWatch
• API for scripting user provisioning
