"-g group" is being ignored for "report"

Issue #974 resolved
Ulrich Windl created an issue

(Originally I wanted to add an enhancement request for it, but it looks like a bug anyway)

Using monit -g group report, monit reports the status of all configured checks, not just those belonging to group.

In contrast using monit -g group status, only matching checks are shown.

So either:

  • Output an error if option -g is used in combination with report, or
  • restrict the output of report to the optional -g group selection.
