MMonit "Events in last 24-hours" inconsistent

I have been noticing that MMonit “Events in last 24-hours” sometimes shows these huge spike of events. It would say something like 1000 events happened in the last 24 hours, but when i visit the events page and search for the last 24 hours the true number is like 30. Why am i getting so many more events.

I have been trying to view the events with sqlite and mmonit.db but I can not figure out which table has the contents.

Does the events graph keep track of extra event items? that are not shown as individual events? For example if monit was reloaded 10x, the events view would show only 1 monit reload, but the graph shows 10?

As an update to maybe others. It looks like just stopping mmonit and starting it resolved it.

I will report back if the issue comes back.
