Expose STATUS From CHECK PROGRAM To EXEC Program As Parameter / Environment Variable

Would it be possible (or is it already supported) to expose the STATUS value from a CHECK PROGRAM call as either a command line parameter or an environment variable? This would be useful in order for the program invoked by EXEC on an alert to be able to add the STATUS value as a tag for events, in the case where the STATUS value is not arbitrary.
