Check user account expiration

Is it possible to program Monit for this feature? I would like to know when a user account either expires or when the password expires.

I'm currently doing it with a bash script + Monit. But I'd prefer something simpler than my solution.

thanks for suggestion, the idea is very good, we may implement it in the future (will open the case when implementation will start)
