Using COPR for binary packages distribution of monit

Issue #419 on hold
Don created an issue

Please consider using COPR project for additional channel of binary packages distribution. COPR builds packages and create custom repos. And who is better person to create repo for monit than its author? Repo is better was for distributing updated packages than just binaries you already having, because, it allows auto-updating to latest versions. There is monit package in EPEL, but it's quite slow to update - current version is 5.14 (2015-09-12), previous was 5.6 (2013-12-04).

Copr is a build system available for everybody. You provide the src.rpm and Copr provides a yum repository. Copr can be used for upstream builds, for continuous integration, or to provide a yum repository for users of your project, if your project is not yet included in the standard Fedora repositories.

ps. COPR is for Fedora/CentOS, but, there is similar project for Ubuntu based distros — PPA.

There is an abundance of package managers and distros. We simply do not have time to support all. Instead we support a few and hope others can build on what we have. Putting this on hold for now.
