Monit 5.18 generates a message:

Skipping redundant host 'localhost'

The relevant config:

set httpd port 2812 and
    address localhost
    allow localhost # <-- changing this to "127.0.0.1" silences the message

thanks for report, it is solved in the next monit version (5.18.1) already.
