add support for patterns in file/directory check path

How to check existance of file which have hour and date in name and that changes everyday? weekly_amavisd_2016-09-16_05h28m_37.sql.gz I tried with weekly_amavisd_*.sql.gz but that's not working

check file Mysql_backup with path /home/backup/db/daily/amavisd
  if timestamp > 1 day then alert

The file check doesn't support regex patterns currently, you can use a "check program" with custom script: https://mmonit.com/monit/documentation/monit.html#PROGRAM-STATUS-TESTING

We plan to add support for patterns to file/directory checks in the future.
