What is the difference between the monit and bitbucket repositories?

I am using the https://mmonit.com/monit/dist/month-5.25.2.tar.gz repository to install, I see that it has a difference in files with the repository https://bitbucket.org/tildeslash/ monit.git this one has fewer files, what are their differences?

the bitbucket repository is used for development, the dist is a source code release created from the bitbucket repository (created using "make dist" from the same source code but it doesn't need to contain all files)
