Support for Centos/RHEL 8

This is more of a question rather than a proposal. Is monit supported on CentOS/RHEL 8? I know it’s new but I can’t find an indication that a package for version 8 is coming. If it does exist online, please reply with a link or something.

There's a Bug open regarding this: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1761450

As stated in the ticket you could use the "old" version:

wget https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/7/x86_64/Packages/m/monit-5.25.1-1.el7.x86_64.rpm
sudo yum localinstall monit-5.25.1-1.el7.x86_64.rpm

yes, it works on RHEL8 … you can create the package from the source code this way: rpmbuild -tb monit-5.26.0.tar.gz
