m/monit No Report Alert wait time

Issue #882 resolved
Former user created an issue

Mmonit version: latest

I would like to send the alert email "No Report from Monit ..." only if there is no report for at least 15 minutes (No Report happens quite often due to network issues).

For alerts in monit there is an option like ìf failed ... for n cycles, is there something alike that I could set up form/monit`?

Thanks a log

    Hello,

you can modify the time for which will M/Monit wait before triggering the “No report from Monit” alert.

The limit can be set per-host in Admin → Hosts → click on given host. At the bottom of the page is an “Acceptable report skew” settings, which is multiplier of Monit poll cycle length (by default 3 cycles => if monit poll cycle is 5 seconds, it’ll wait for 15 seconds before triggering the alert):

You can set that limit higher to match 15 minutes (e.g. for 5 seconds poll cycle the report skew will be 15*60/5=180 cycles).
