XP on units showing while promotable

I often find myself promoting units at low ranks despite knowing their xp. This is due to the effect that the promote button prevents you from viewing the xp on a promotable unit. It's relevant because I'd like to promote per example an app ballista with 9k xp earlier than one with 400 xp.

Is it possible to toggle this?
