unclaimed >> November 9 - 17:18 Well the idea is simple, if the new owners can do some kind of tool or a guide to help new people to find a route to main.

Explanation:

In place of a new player open a map and start looking for cities to reach main, he gets the route to main by clicking a new button found in castle window or at city center page.

Example:

After clicking the button he gets the following message: To join main you need to move to City A, B, C, D then you will be able to join main by clicking castle and then join main.

Again its just an idea, feel free to refine this idea or add other ideas to it, as long it help the new people and help the new owners in rebuilding this game.

fiddlefaddle >> November 9 - 21:17 I think this is a great idea.. not just for new people but for people who have to play on their phone occasionally and can't use the map

CoolBebe >> November 10 - 07:07 What I found out is working is actually engaging the new players .. yea it involves effort on your behalf and you can`t do it all the time -)

rather than having even more text to read, someone saying hi can make the difference between staying in the game and quitting after a few hours

Rasputin >> November 10 - 08:54 I agree with Coolbebe on this, but there's still something in this idea for the reason fiddlefaddle gives.. Sometimes it's pretty hard to find the shortest route on a mobile phone, even for experienced players, since you either have to zoom way out so you can't read anything or zoom way in so you don't have the oversight..

Wouldnt make more text though.. Maybe it's possible to do it the same way as you can move to bordering cities from the map.. (If I click on a bordering city on the map, it gives info about the city and what armies are there, but there is also a button '1 mp move' (or something like that..) Why not add that button to all cities with the correct amount of mps stated and if I click it I move either there when I have enough mps or as close as I can get if I'm short of mps)

agis >> November 10 - 09:58 Problem might be enemy movements, when enemy is close it might be better to sit tight in cap then to move next to enemy main when they're about to sf. Best might be if hc could set the best route and by clicking on the 'follow hc route' button you go the route that hc sees most fit.

Plato >> November 10 - 11:31 I wouldn't make it a possibility to "jump" to a certain city, like Rasputin suggested, since that would make you invisible to the enemy when passing different cities. Sometimes people continuously refresh border to check where the enemy is moving to, that would be quite impossible by enabling "jumping".

Plato >> November 10 - 23:38 Another thing that could be helpful for new players is to implement some kind of tutoring. You know how in other games experienced players sometimes have a special thingy above their character to help people out with questions about the game? By designing a new avatar (besides the normal - duke - knight - admin) experienced players willing to help out can distinguish themselves from other people. Doesn't even have to be a new avatar, an asterix or a caret will do too.

The way I see it, admins do not have the time to answer every beginner question and there are plenty of people willing to help out.

There don't need to be any perks coming with the "tutor", it would more be like a status symbol.
