No pvp protection after being kicked

I was in an army that got CSF'd. The last battle I was in was when we were kicked, but I don't have pvp protection. I participated in the battle - my commander wasn't injured.

It was right at tick and I've noticed battles being a bit buggy around tick at times. Once last age, we did a hit right at tick and our mp didn't go down like it should have - I suspect this is a related issue. I've only noticed it since the move to the faster server.
