odb allows creation of invalid name "hostname[0]"

odb allows creation of invalid names like "hostname[0]". Not sure if it comes through db_create() or through db_get_value() with "create" set to "true". Names with square brackets are not permitted for odb names. They have special meaning for db_get_value() & co. K.O.
