history plot "blinking"

Issue #286 new

this history plot is “blinking” on me, every 1 sec it rescales between 900 and 30000 on the vertical scale. very bizarre! Part of the plot is “in the future”, maybe that is part of the problem, and once the “future” fills with data the blinking go away. K.O.

Much more bizarre problem: You have a “gap” on the left side of the plot. The last value outside the window on the left side is actually ~30000. So when this value gets included, everything scales down accordingly because this 30000 is so big. Now the “left side of the screen” is found with a binary search, and depending on the total number of points in this array (odd or even), the boundary fluctuates by +-1. So if this one value outside the bound is included, everything scales down, and if not, everything is fine. I use now +1 for the left index, which should fix this, but I cannot try it because I can’t update the JS on daq16.

quick reply - the gap happened because the event builder program crashed (fix? replace sprintf() with msprintf(), Stefan, take a cookie!). K.O.
