odb inline editor broken for long lines

the odb inline editor has been broken for some time, when editing long strings, the input box length is only 32 (or so) characters long, this is pretty inconvenient, I can only see a small part of the string. I think the input box length should be at least as long as the string we are editing. I think it used to work this way. Would be nie to have it back. K.O.
