What is a restricted page/space?

Users can set restrictions on spaces and pages so they will be editable and/or viewable only by specific users, groups, and apps. In case "Metadata for Confluence Cloud" app has no write permissions, it can't store and search metadata from this page.

Default Values

In case you've defined default values for a metadata set and this specific space is restricted, once a page will be created under this space the app won't be able to automatically assign the default metadata on this page.

How to allow storing metadata on a restricted page/space?

When a page or space is restricted, it can not store metadata. Please follow the next step to easily assign it with permissions.

• To allow "Metadata for Confluence Cloud" to save metadata on this page you need to click the Lock sign on the upper right side of the page.

• On the restrictions dialog search for "Metadata for Confluence Cloud" and set it with edit permissions.

In case you keep getting the same error, it means the while space is restricted, follow the next steps:

• Click on the name of the space on the upper left side of the page.

• Click on the 3 dots near the share button on the upper right side of the page

• Click on "Restrictions"

• On the restrictions dialog search for "Metadata for Confluence Cloud" and set it with edit permissions.
