Retain settings after restart

Anonymous avatarAnonymous created an issue

I typically set the filetype filter (under the weird "?" icon next to FilterText on the commit panel) to a non-default setting (I don't like to see "unknown" files in the changelist). However, I have to reset this every time I restart as my settings aren't saved.

Could you save the settings on this dropdown and reset them on startup?

If I want to exclude all untracked files, that is a lot of stuff to add to .hgignore -- my project seems to generate a lot of temp files and other cruft, which makes it hard to see the changes to tracked files until I turn them off.

Why would it lead to mistakes?
